Meet the Directors

Eric Chui is the Director of Orchestras at DeWitt Perry Middle School. Mr. Chui is beginning his 9th year at DeWitt Perry. Mr. Chui attended Hardin-Simmons University and graduated with a Bachelor's in Music Education. He is an alumnus and product of CFBISD where his former teachers were Charlotte Moellering and Christy Myers. Mr. Chui is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family while also leading the church orchestra at Dallas Chinese Bible Church. Mr. Chui is thankful for the opportunity to impact the lives of students through music and he believes that if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!

Tap McIntosh is the Assistant Director of Orchestras at DeWitt Perry Middle School. This is Mr. McIntosh’s 4th year teaching after graduating from West Texas A&M University, attaining a Bachelor's with double emphasis in Music Education and Composition. He has performed with professional symphony orchestras in Texas and New Mexico. He is an alumni of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He believes in helping students find passion, self-discipline, and drive through the orchestra classroom.

DeWitt Perry Middle School is a part of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District. The orchestra program consists of students in the 6th - 8th grade who play 4 string instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass.
